Brittne Kittrell
Brittne Kittrell is a Houston-based multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersections of memory, culture, and personal observation. She is a graduate of Texas Southern University, where she received her BFA in Drawing and Painting. Kittrell is currently advancing her practice as an MFA candidate at Houston Christian University.
Her work has been recognized in several notable regional exhibitions, including the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH) Staff Show, the Rockport Art Center’s Rising Eyes showcase, Huff Vault Gallery, and the Moon Gallery at Heights Church. Kittrell’s creativity is one of rediscovery.
Though her passion for drawing began in childhood, it was the pivotal encouragement of a middle school mentor and later, her mother’s guidance during her college years, that solidified her path as a professional artist. This personal history deeply informs her current role as a Middle School Art Educator, where she inspires the next generation of creators.
